It is a good thing the CLASS ACT is be being repealed. The structure of the law was a disaster waiting to happen. The pool would not sustain itself. Read the article for details.

Hope and Change. Is this the change America hoped for? The government take over of the healthcare system? The states will no longer insurance decisions. It will be and is the feds. The article takes that the exchange (government run) is going to organize the insurance market. I guess the result will be similar the Fannie May and Freddie Mac organizing the mortgage industry. That worked well!! Central planning is a dismal failure. Just look what is happening to Europe as one country after another fails . So-called Socialist utopia will not materialize. In the 90's, the public complained about HMO's. Now, through "change" we are about to experience a large HMO that is operated by lifetime bureaucrats that work for us--the taxpayer. The ultimate goal this behemoth legislation is the failure of the health insurance market so the government can control more of our lives and they, the government, can achieve more power. Until recently, USA was considered to be "mostly free". I am afraid "mostly free" is slipping ever so close to tyranny. The health care reform law is one giant step in that direction. I close with this quote from Thomas Jefferson--, "A government big enough to give you everything you want, is big enough to take away everything you have.

It is a partial solution to improve the FSA account state of affairs and is better than nothing. The health care reform has had a major impact on FSA's which lowered the amount permitted in the FSA health account to $2500 and it also removed over-the -counter drugs FSAs without a doctor's prescription. The current proposal discussed would be a step in the right direction to improve the FSA's status. Hopefully, this proposal will pass since it is time to kill the "use it or lose it" rule. In my opinion, by eliminating “use it or lose it" rule, there would be an increase employee participation in FSA accounts.
